Hypermedia

For the Hypermedia module we had to create a website on a subject that we had chosen. The theme had to incorporate a Flash animation, a 1 minute video, Fireworks dynmaic menu and Photoshop. All of the content had to be original, the video had to be made using Microsoft Moviemaker and show visible editing via fades between shots.

I incorporated all these elements into the website I created, Wedding Days. Wedding Days is specificly designed to explain the concept of a muslim wedding ceremony to anyone who has never been to one.

It has sections on male and female fashion, wedding dresses, groom's outfits, jewllery and a video to show you what to expect.

I made the website pink because I couldn't use red, which is the most popular colour for weddings of this type, because it would alienate colourblind users. Pink also signifies it's a happy and very soft event.

The website was difficult to make because I had never used Flash or Fireworks before, but I finally managed to understand enough to create a website of a good standard. The main aspect of the website was the content and the detailed explanations of every event illustrated with pictures.
